Terms of Service
Last updated: June 4, 2026
TEMPLATE NOTICE: This is a starting template and must be reviewed by a licensed attorney before CaseMaxAI relies on it. It is not itself legal advice.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CaseMaxAI (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
CaseMaxAI provides AI-assisted legal research tools that retrieve and summarize publicly available case law. The Service is intended for use by licensed legal professionals.
3. Not Legal Advice
The Service is a research aid only. It does not provide legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. You are solely responsible for independently verifying the accuracy, completeness, and current status of any case, citation, or result before relying on it.
4. No Warranty of Accuracy
The Service is provided “as is.” While CaseMaxAI is designed to ground results in real, retrieved cases, we do not warrant that results are complete, current, or error-free. Citation status (such as whether a case remains good law) must be independently confirmed.
5. Accounts and Firm Access
Accounts are provisioned at the firm level. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Firm administrators are responsible for managing their users.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to reverse engineer it, reselling access without authorization, or using it to violate any law or professional rule of conduct.
7. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid plans are billed on a per-firm basis as described at signup. Fees, tiers, and included seats are subject to change with notice.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software and design, is owned by CaseMaxAI and its licensors. Underlying case law is in the public domain or licensed from third-party data providers.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaseMaxAI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on the Service. Your sole remedy is to discontinue use.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be directed to the contact provided at signup.
